Man, Man 3rd LP, Orig UK United Artists G/fld LP, EX/EX, A-1U B-1U, 1st Press. Man, Man 3rd LP, Orig UK United Artists G/fld LP, EX/EX, A-1U B-1U, 1st Press. Description

Original UK Liberty label stereo press LP.

This was the band's third LP released in March 1971. The band had originally signed to Pye Records in late 1968 after Deke Leonard joined the group and released two albums in 1969. The band were more successful in Germany and spent most of 1970 touring Europe with new members, Martin Ace & Terry Williams. The result was a new contract with Liberty/United Artists Records and a third LP, 'Man' recorded in London in October 1970.

This is the original issue with the A-1U B-1U matrices and 1-GG 1-GA stampers of the 1st presses!   The E. J. Day Group textured matt gatefold sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some very light corner/edge wear and some light storage rubbing on the outer cover. The spine is intact and fully readable, the company inner is intact and in EX condition.   The record is in visually EX condition, with a couple of very faint sleeve removal hairlines and one or two small needle scuffs visible on each side. The labels are in EX+ condition, clean & bright with evidence of a couple of spindle markings on each side.   The sound reproduction is EX, still clear & precise throughout with no loud crackle or hiss and definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some low background noise during the run in grooves and briefly in a couple of the quieter passages, overall a really great, loud & clear listen.   The matrix nos. are; LBS-83464, A-1U stamper 2-GD, B-1U stamper 1-GD. This is one of the early copies of the 1st pressing of the original 1971 UK stereo issue of this album!
