Pink Floyd, The Final Cut, Orig UK Harvest G/fld LP, EX/EX+, A-1 B-1 1st Press. Description Original UK Harvest label stereo 1st press LP.

The album was concieved by Roger Waters and recorded by the band in late 1982, after the success of The Wall and the sacking of Richard Wright. Originally intended as a soundtrack for The Wall film, the Falklands War prompted Roger Waters to change the concept and write about the ending of the post-war dream under Maggie Thatcher instead. The rest of the band were not happy and eventually Roger Waters would quit or was sacked in 1985.

This is the original issue with the earliest A-1U B-2U matrices and 1-1-1 1-3-1 stampers of the very first presses.
The glossy gatefold sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with only some light corner/edge wear and very light storage rubbing on the outer cover. The spine is intact and fully readable, the plain black inner is intact & in EX condition.   The record is in visually EX+ condition, with only a couple of faint & wispy sleeve removal hairlines visible on each side that do not affect play. The labels are in EX+ condition, clean & bright with evidence of one or two faint spindle markings.   The sound reproduction is EX+, still clear & precise throughout with no loud pops, hiss or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some very low background noise during the run in grooves, overall a really great, loud & clear listen.

The matrix nos. are; SHPF-1983, A-1U mother stamper 1-1-1, B-2U mother stamper 1-3-1.
This is one of the very early copies of the original 1983 UK stereo 1st issue of this album!
