The third album by Ten Years After, was recorded at Morgan Studios in June and released in August 1969. It was recorded quickly as the band had numerous gigging commitments, including playing in the USA. They appeared at the Newport Jazz Festival & the Seattle Pop Festival in July and at Woodstock in August. This was their US breakthrough and the album went to no.4 in the UK and no.20 in the USA by September.

This is the original issue, but with the older large red Deram Stereo labels and an unusual copy, with the alternative Arial font on the labels, rather than Times New Roman font. (Deram changed the style of their labels in early 1969 and until at least 1973, continued to reuse or adapt earlier designs for later issues, as well as for re-issues... so matrix numbers are the best way to establish the pressings... see Discogs). With the earliest P-3L P-2L matrices and 1-A 1-C stampers of the first presses.

  The Moore & Matthes front laminated gatefold sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light corner/edge wear and some light laminate rubbing & ceasing on the outer cover and some rubbing the inner cover. The spine is intact and fully readable and the Decca company inner is intact & in EX condition, sorry no poster.   The record is in visually EX condition, with a couple of faint sleeve removal hairlines and one or two light needle scuffs visible on each side. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of a couple of faint spindle markings on each side.   The sound reproduction is EX, still clear & precise throughout with no loud hiss, pops or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some brief low background noise during the run in grooves, overall a really great, loud & clear listen.   The matrix nos. are; XZAL-9084-P-3L stamper 1-A, XZAL-9084-P-2L stamper 1-C. This is one of the early copies of the 1st pressing of the original 1969 UK stereo issue of this album!
