M = Mint, still sealed.  Only sealed records are truly mint!

NM = Near Mint no flaws, clean , no marks.  The highest available grade for a record that has been played

NM -  =  near mint minus, if there is the tinest apparent surface imperfection

VG+ = Very Good Plus Used condition, light normal scuffs , should play with minimal surfacenoise.

VG = Very Good, Cover wear, perhaps slight ring, Still a nice record, should look a bit used,light scratches, no gouges, plays well
