About The Artist:
In a Japanese pop music career spanning decades, Takeuchi is one of the best-selling music artists in Japan, selling over 16 million records. Her early work during the late 1970s to 1980s is largely associated with the Japanese city pop genre, along with that of her husband and collaborator Tatsuro Yamashita.
The two of them are arguably the most famous couple in the domestic music industry today. Think the Beyonce and Jay-Z of J-pop.
