1960 UK Columbia SAX 2354 ED1 Blue /Silver Beethoven 4th Symphony Klemperer & the Philharmonia. Let me make you aware straight away that this looks great but has surface noise. I gave it a clean and it reduced it, but it did not remove it. This will require a forgiving cartridge, or an amp that has a rumble/scratch filter setting. If you have an unforgiving hi fi that magnifies every click or pop, this one could drive you mad. I did only check it with a very fine profiled line contact stylus, on a very revealing system, so maybe this is one for the conicals. The low price is at a fifth of a near mint one by recent trends, Since 2015 3 of these in VG+ condition have sold for £40 to £79, the highest price being for the most recent. So even though this looks excellent, the surface noise means I want to call the play grade VG to VG+, ie not mint, Near mint, mint minus, excellent or excellent minus. I hope I have made myself clear. You may get a better response with a different cleaning method to mine, but I have been frank with you. I never say "great condition for its age", even though this is a 60 year old lp, I just grade on how it is. so understand all the above before hitting the buy it now as I prefer not to have it sent back. I tried to warn you!. Sleeve is excellent. Our usual ethos is to offer you best sounding analogue only pressings of vintage records, nearly all the rest of the list in near mint. This is the exception offered as a collection filler. We offer massive postage subsidies to overseas buyers on multiple purchases. i.e £1 extra per lp to a maximum of £15, then no extra charge. We pack carefully in custom made hard card boxes. If the appearance or playgrade suggests it requires it, our records are cleaned on a wash and vac machine, using art du son fluid in distilled water. This is already in a new heavy poly outer with antistatic inners added with outer sleeve and records all layered behind each other to prevent splits.
