Amon Duul II, Live In London, Orig UK United Artists LP, EX/EX, A-2U, 1st Press. Amon Duul II, Live In London, Orig UK United Artists LP, EX/EX, A-2U, 1st Press. Description Original UK United Artists label stereo press LP.

Amon Duul II was formed in Munich after splitting from the original Amon Duul, before releasing their first album Phallus Dei in 1969. By 1972 they had toured Europe & the UK and released five albums. They recorded the last dates of their 1972 tour of the UK in December at The Greyhound, Croydon. This was re-mixed in January 1973 and released as their sixth album in March, making it a great example of their mature live sound.

This is the original issue with the tan United Artists labels, with the Liberty/UA rim text credits, the A-2U B-2U matrices and the 1-M 1-G stampers of the early first presses.

The Robert Stace matt sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with very light corner/edge wear and some light storage rubbing on the rear cover. The spine is intact, slightly faded and fully readable, the plain inner is intact, but discoloured & in VG+ condition.   The record is in visually EX+ condition, with only a couple of faint sleeve removal hairlines and one or two light needle marks/scuffs visible on each side that do not affect play. The labels are in EX+ condition, clean & bright with evidence of only one or two very faint spindle markings on each side.   The sound reproduction is EX+, still clear & precise throughout, with definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some very  brief background noise during the run in grooves, overall a really clean, loud & clear listen.   The matrix nos. are; USP-102, A-2U stamper 1-M, B-2U stamper 1-G. This is one of the early copies of the original 1973 UK stereo issue of this album!
