RARE NM Joni Mitchell Limited Edition QUIEX II Pressing PROMO LP
This is a rare, limited edition, Quiex II pressing of Joni Mitchell's 1982 LP, "Wild Things Run Fast."
In case you are unfamiliar, Quiex pressings don't use the usual carbon granules to color the vinal because they can cause a slight hint of background noise. Instead, black dye is used. As a result, you can see through the vinyl if you hold it up to the light. And that is in fact the case with this LP. For the most part, Quiex pressings were used for promotional LPs sent to reviewers and radio stations. And, as you can see from one of my photos, the jacket has a gold "promotional use only" stamp on the front. The cuts I test-played sound absolutely great, and the vinyl looks glossy and virtually flawless in bright sunlight. So I grade it near mint. The jacket is nearly so -- clean and bright with just a touch of wear at the corners. The Quiex II sticker is affixed to the front of the jacket, as is an old price sticker from a used-record store.
