LED ZEPPELIN II 1969 RL SS Monarch HOT MIX LP Atlantic SD 8236 ROBERT LUDWIG
So this is the famous first pressing of Led Zeppelin II. It's a Monarch pressing.
I played this on both my systems and can say this about my playtest:
Side 1 has a few louder clicks toward the beginning and has what I can best describe as a crackling sound in some of the quieter bits during the first half of side 1. Sounded better on my big old KLH 6 speakers than my fresh KEF Reference Series as those are more "precise"
Side 2 is a lot quieter overall but both turntables had a small jump right after he sings the word "roundabout" for the third time in Living Loving Maid. I'm not skilled at skip fixing; maybe you are. This is the only skip or jump I encountered. No stuck grooves on my turntables.
The sleeve is probably considered very good. I tried to show the seam split on the top edge in my photo. The original insert is still here; that's nice.
It's been ultrasonically cleaned and stored in a rice paper sleeve and will be shipped in a whiplash-style mailer.
