Juicy Lucy, Lie Back & Enjoy It, Orig UK Vertigo Poster LP, EX/VG+ 1Y//1 1st Pr. Juicy Lucy, Lie Back & Enjoy It, Orig UK Vertigo Poster LP, EX/VG+ 1Y//1 1st Pr. Description Original UK Vertigo large spiral label stereo 1st press LP.

The second album by Juicy Lucy recorded in August and released on October 1970. Although several members of the original band had been replaced since the release of their first album in October 1969 (most notably singer Ray Owen and lead guitarist Neil Hubbard, with Paul Williams & Micky Moody), it was generally considered to be a respectable follow up to their debut album. The tracks included three covers, with Willie Dixon's 'Built For Comfort' & Delaney's 'Hello LA, Goodbye Birmingham', and a great cover of Zappa's 'Willie The Pimp'. It reached no.53 in the UK charts by the end of the year.

This is the original issue with the large spiral Vertgo label with the 1Y//1 2Y//2 matrix, with the 1-1-2 1-1-3 stampers of the early 1st pressings!
The Howards Printers matt poster sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light edge/corner wear on the outer folds and some damage on one corner. The spine is intact, but worn and only partly readable, the spiral inner is intact, slightly discoloured & in VG+ condition.   The record is in visually VG+ condition, with a few wispy sleeve removal hairlines and a couple of needle scuffs/marks on both sides visible under bright light. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of few faint spindle markings on each side   The sound reproduction is EX, still clear & precise throughout with definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some brief background noise during the run in grooves and one or two low clicks or pops on a couple of tracks.
Overall, a really great, loud and clear listen!   The matrix nos. are; 6360014 (stamped), 1Y//1-420 stamper 1-1-2, 2Y//2-420 stamper 1-1-3. This is one of the very earliest pressings of the original 1970 UK stereo 1st issue of this album!
