Queen : Greatest Hits I

This album plays with superb audio for the majority with only minimal interference.  I have played every track in full so as to provide a comprehensive grading and it has certainly not been played very much based on the audio and the zero spindle wear.

The cover is in lovely condition with barely any wear and is easily one of the finest I have seen in a long time.  The picture inner is also very clean with just one small bottom edge split.

Visual grading

The vinyl still has a very strong glossy sheen with no marks or scratches.  There are a small number of faint hairlines with just one on S1 that is a little more obvious but has no affect on the audio.  There is one small 'bag rash' area on each side but this is faint and again has no impact on the audio.  The labels are near perfect with no marking and no spindle wear.

Play grading

The opening verses on the classic 'Bohemian Rhapsody' have only minimal light static and there are no clicks or pops.  Brian's solo and following 'operatic section' play superbly with no interference at all.  The quiet end section has only a couple of minor static ticks and barely any static.  I would say this is an Ex+ start overall.  'Another One Bites The Dust' is of the same standard with only a handful of static ticks and 'Killer Queen' is very close to perfect with no obvious intrusion and easily grades as Near Mint.  Having played every track in full (as always) I can confirm the remaining tracks also play with stunning quality, a couple of minor ticks that is all.  A minor hint of static during the 'bell ringing' section on 'Bicycle Race' but the sonic quality throughout is very impressive indeed.

'Crazy Little Thing Called Love' on S2 has only light background static for the first few seconds and a little on the fade out.  Aside from that it plays with great clarity with only a small number of other minor ticks.  An Ex+ start.  The intro on 'Somebody To Love' has only minimal static for 3/4 seconds and then plays extremely well with very little intrusion.  There are 3/4 static click type sounds towards the end so Ex is a fair assessment.  'Now I'm Here' is nigh on perfect and 'Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy' has only minimal static right at the start and then plays with sublime precision for the remainder.  The same can be said for the rest of the tracks and even 'Flash' plays with outstanding clarity for the vast majority, just a handful of very light ticks at the start which are totally non-intrusive.  The classics 'We Will Rock You' and 'We Are The Champions' are superb!
The Cover & Picture Inner
The cover (with bar code on the back) is in lovely condition with very little shelf wear.  The edges and spine and so close to perfect with barely any wear and the corners are also in great shape with no creasing etc.  The opening edge has no handling wear and the front cover is unmarked aside from one faint crease top left.  The back cover is just as impressive with only a handful of minor creases top right next to the spine.  A superb example.
The paper inner is in great condition with only one very small split on the bottom edge but there is no marking and barely any creasing.
Play tested on my Pro-Ject Essential III Turntable / B&W 684 Speakers

The records have been cleaned on a Pro-Ject VC-S machine
