Uriah Heep : Innocent Victim A1/B1

For this auction I am selling a number of progressive/heavy rock records that have been so well preserved down the years and many of them hardly played.  I am moving house soon so want to 'shift' a lot of my stock quickly so unfortunately do not have the time to describe each track in detail as I generally do.  However, I will still play every track in full (such a chore!) so as to provide a 'complete' grading.

This first pressing plays to the highest standard possible with no interference.  The clarity, power and depth of the audio is equal to that of an unplayed record, the playback is phenomenal!  The vinyl is visually 'as new' with no markings etc and was cut by Harry T Moss the famous mastering engineer.

The cover is in superb condition with barely any wear and the lyric sheet and inner sleeve are also 'brand new'.

Visual grading

As per the other Heep albums I am selling this one is also visually stunning with an immaculate jet-black glossy sheen.  There are no marks or scratches to be seen and there are no hairlines either.  This is about as good as it gets!  The Bronze labels are in perfect condition with only one tiny and barely visible spindle trace on each.

Play Grading

'Keep On Ridin' plays with a clarity and warmth you only get from a vinyl that has hardly ever been played, I cannot praise the audio highly enough!  Having played every second (as always) I can confirm the other tracks on the side are just as strong with no interference of any kind.  Every track plays with sublime clarity and power and this side is Mint with a capital M!  There is no inner groove distortion either as you approach the end.

'Free Me' on S2 is flawless and 'Cheat 'n' Lie' then plays to the same level with...no interference.  The audio is exceptional!  The vinyl might be close to 45 years old but it could not play with any greater precision.  'The Dance' and 'Choices' end the album with great quality and the final track in particular is a genuine highlight.

The Cover, Lyric Sheet & Inner Sleeve

The laminated cover is in superb condition with barely any wear.  In fact the only wear is one minor scuff line on the back cover near the bottom edge.  The lyric sheet is perfect and the original promo inner sleeve is also in fantastic condition with only a couple of barely visible spots.

Play tested on my Pro-Ject Essential III Turntable // B & W 684 Speakers

This record has been professionally cleaned on a Pro-Ject VC-S machine
