THE SISTERS OF MERCY First And Last And Always GERMAN 1st Press VG+ VINYL.
This is a nice play copy. It is flat and pretty clean. I cleaned it the best that I could and put it in a anti static sleeve. It sounds great and looks nice too.
The music is loud on this album so that helps offset surface noise. There is some light crackle on the lead in groove but quickly goes away. A couple pops sometimes in between tracks but no big deal. It's a copy someone enjoyed before me and I enjoyed it
However the vinyl has small imperfections that warrant it a vg+ grading. There are light scuffs throughout disc from the original paper inner sleeve that is also included. None of scuffs can be felt and are only superficial. I can only notice most of them when under a bright light. However on the 4th track side 2 there is a short scuff that is fairly noticable. (See third photo) It can not be felt and does not impact play. That's the only important flaw that is apparent on the playing surface.
The rim on the record is not perfectly smooth all the way around. It has a slight sharpness to one spot. It's totally normal. Records are not always perfectly smooth on the edge. I figured I might as well mention it.
I think it's a great play copy as long as you don't need it to be perfect!
The jacket looks well preserved. The flaws I notice are some edge wear, creases on the spine and around jacket. There are also some minor scratches on the cover too. The most noticable edge wear is near the spine left corner and the center bottom edge of the sleeve. Overall I think it's great vintage sleeve, nice lamination to it. Inner sleeve is fairly good condition. There is some folds and it is somewhat wavy. It appears there is a white line scratch on the black and white photo. (see 11th photo) There is a small split to the bottom and it doesn't appear that the sides have any splits but they are close. Most people will be pleased with this copy.
I package records great just how I like to receive them in the mail. Record will be placed outside the jacket in an anti static sleeve with some bubble wrap and cardboard sheet sandwiched between and placed in a record mailer.
Ask me any questions and make an offer! I like to see who is interested and what kind of feedback the buyer has so I price a little high and then come down a bit. But if you think the price is good and you really want it then buy it now! Someone else may beat you to it.
I keep it in a crystal clear resealable sleeve that fits it well. I can include that too if you want it. Otherwise I can give you a regular poly outer sleeve.
