AMON DÜÜL II "WOLF CITY" VINYL LP 1972 UK UA29406 KRAUTROCK/PSYCHEDELIC.
A family member has had this since the 70s. Have 100/% Play tested (twice in fact) and would class as Very Good overall in terms of sound quality with a few crackles in the quieter passages and the odd slight jump or scratch particularly on Side A e.g. Track 1 has crackle and a slight jump earlier on, then crackle in quieter passages, with pop in the quieter middle and violin passages. Other minor crackles on other tracks, but nothing which overpowers the sound or detracts from the quality of the music. Side B plays more or less perfectly, apart from what might be a scratch on Track 1 - difficult to tell over the music. Visually the vinyl itself looks excellent, although there are paper markings on parts of the run-in edge of the record, where it appears the original inner sleeve (which no longer exists) has stuck/bled in, but this in no way affects the record itself I have replaced the inner sleeve with a brand new poly-lined one. (See pictures for info). The outer gatefold sleeve is in reasonably good condition for a 50 year old record. It's worn around the edges where it's been handled but not badly. Spine titles are fairly visible mostly. The inner gatefold is pock-marked on the bottrom right hand corner, slightly sticky and also grubby in the centre fold. I have repaired the bottom right corner with double sided tape. Overall would grade as Good to Fair, so price reflects condition of the whole package of disc/cover, etc.
