This beautiful album is Roberta Flack's first album release entitled "First Take" and is a Vinyl LP first released in the UK in 1972 on Atlantic (Catalogue Number K40040) and the vinyl is in Very Good condition. It's been 100% play tested and visually inspected. There is some initial crackle on the introductory passage of Side One, Track 1. Similarly this also occurs on the introductory passage of Track 1 on Side Two. There are no other obvious issues on Side One. On Track 2 of Side 2 "First Time Ever I Saw Your Face", there is clearly a scratch- this causes a continuous pop and crackle which only dies down halfway through the track - it's still present later on, but not as loudly. Track 3 Side 2 also has some pop and crackle, which also sounds like the result of a scratch. The rest of Side Two is fine. Overall, the record is not spoiled by these faults, but the price reflects the condition.

The cover/cardboard sleeve is in reasonably good condition- grubby around the edges where it's been handled and slight damage on the outer edge where the record is inserted (the bottom edge is coming away slightly by about 3 inches, but I can repair with double sided tape if requested). The inner paper sleeve is in good condition - a little creased at the edges (see pics), but no tears, cuts, etc and protects the record well. This record has been in the family for 50 years (sister in law is having a throw out), so I can vouch for the record's provenance. There are some lovely songs on this - see pic for track listing - and it's a good addition for jazz/soul/easy listening fans or collectors. Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd class in appropriate packaging for an LP.
