Hi! You're looking at a SUPERB condition vinyl LP on the Prestige Records label (reissued in 1983 as part of the great Original Jazz Classics OJC series) and a classic jazz recording by trumpet player MILES DAVIS titled "Collectors' Items"--the album compiles two sessions from 1953 and 1956 and features the remarkable two tenor saxophone lineup of CHARLIE PARKER (using the famous pseudonym "Charlie Chan" for contractual reasons) and SONNY ROLLINS and including WALTER BISHOP on piano, PERCY HEATH on bass, and PHILLY JOE JONES on drums on the 1953 session and TOMMY FLANAGAN on piano, PAUL CHAMBERS on bass, and ART TAYLOR on drums on the 1956 session. The LP is a 1983 Prestige Records / Original Jazz Classics issue with the serial number OJC-071 (originally issued in 1956 as P-7624), a MONO issue and was made in the United States.
This LP is in SUPERB condition and the vinyl is in NEAR MINT- condition and should play beautifully, with just a few very light paper scuffs that should not affect play and NO other significant imperfections; the cover is in strong NEAR MINT- condition with two tiny dates written next to the personnel information on the upper portion of the back surface denoting the years of recording, a tiny ding on the lower left edge of the back cover and just slight shelfwear but NO other imperfections--it's NOT a cutout! The original plain white inner sleeve is also included.
Please Note: I CAN ship records outside of the United States but will need to get a weight estimate based on the final PACKAGED weight for this record--I cannot ship for the $4.00 U.S. Media Rate and the quoted International Shipping Rate may differ from the final shipping rate due to packaged weight differences so please wait to make payment until a final invoice is received. Thanks!
Vinyl Grading Standards (unless otherwise indicated, LPs are visually graded)
Mint (or M) – Sealed and effectively perfect with no signs of wear or ever having been played.
Near Mint -- A record with only the slightest evidence of ever having been handled.
Very Good Plus Plus (VG++) A very clean record that has no marks aside from slight scuffs and abrasions caused by removal from a paper inner sleeve or perhaps a few marks on the label caused by a turntable spindle.
Very Good Plus (VG+) A record that has had a number of plays and may have some superficial scuffs, possibly mild to moderate spindle marks and / or possibly hairline scratches on the vinyl, which may produce some intermittent pops and possibly very light background noise.
Very Good (VG) A record that has generally been well cared for, but has seen a fair amount of play, with some scuffing. hairline scratches, spindle marks and / or light scratches. Should play through well, with the possibility of more pops and more background noise.
Very Good Minus (VG-) A record with significant scuffs, scratches, and spindle marks that should play through with moderate pops and surface noise, possibly of some duration.
Good (G) A record with will play through, but with significant pops, substantial background noise, and possibly intermittent skipping.
Poor (P) A record with MAJOR issues that will interfere with play, and will possibly be unplayable in part due to damage (I'll only offer an LP in this condition if it's an extreme rarity and / or for cover art display purposes).
