Things do not always progress. A Night at the Opera is a case in point. This is the 1975 high water mark of classic rock, before Punk kicked off and it makes most lists of the greatest Rock LPs of all time and of course the greatest rock singles.
Absolute all-analogue genius from start to end: Hard Rock, Pop Rock, Progressive Rock, a hint of Jazz and a few jokes thrown in. No digital sampling or digital compression, no auto tune, no cut and paste. There's plenty of great music made since and being made today - but is it overall actually better than this nearly 48 year old LP? Or just different?
This is an original UK YAX 5063-2 gatefold LP pressing, with the originalpicture inner, and the single is an original EMI 23375 A2 pressing.
So, settle back in the soundscape of these two little bits of Vinyl history. Sensible offers invited.

About Vinyl Valhalla: We collect vintage, rare & obscure vinyl, instruments, amps, tapes, CDs & memorabilia, and find good new homes. We aren't dealers and don’t sell new, or grade vinyl Mint or Near Mint. If you want new (or like new), don’t buy from us. We also don’t sell below VG - our vinyl is Very Good to Very Good + with some EX. That means decent quality, visually checked & reasonable prices. Just occasionally you’ll see something special higher or lower.
We don’t usually set up guitars and basses or add new strings - strings and action are personal preferences. That keeps our costs to you down.
Also, if you are in the UK and thinking about buying a new Guitar or an amplifier, most of these are made in Asia and sometimes involve hardwoods in their construction. Then they are shipped across the world to the UK. Think about the construction and shipping carbon footprint and environmental impact of buying new, compared to a Vintage used equivalent.
If Vintage is your thing, great – we’re on the same wavelength.
