DAVID BOWIE HUNKY DORY | AUTHENTIC 1st UK PRESS | LAMINATED FRONT COVER & NO GEM LOGO

On offer is a true, original 1st UK pressing of Hunky Dory with laminated front cover and no Gem production credit on the back cover. The omission of the Gem production credit was a printing error, which was quickly corrected with the second issue also with a laminated front cover (second iteration). Third iterations had the common matt cover.

Condition:

Side 1 of the record is in NEAR MINT condition; only the slightest quiet crackling can be heard. Side 2 is EXCELLENT + due to a minuscule sleeve marking on “Fill Your Heart”. Audio, and visual is the same as side 1 which is simply amazing. This record is in archive condition.

Side one: APRS 5947 - 3T. The run out is etched with 'Bobil'.

Side two: APRS 5948 - 3T. The run out is etched with 'Rasputin'.

The labels are in NEAR MINT condition. No visible spindle marks.

The sleeve is in EXCELLENT + condition with slight usage on the spine and tips. Anyone familiar with the album will appreciate how delicate this laminated sleeve is. Please inspect the images to fully appreciate the high quality of this cover. The colours, the yellows, reds, and blues are vibrant. Some later issues had lower quality imagery, but not this one.

Insert: Original first press insert has a few creases and signs of handling but no major issue.

This record will be sent via an insured courier in a padded vinyl packaging.
