1979 Led Zeppelin In Through The Out Door Vinyl Record LP SS 16002 US Atlantic
Up for sale is a copy of ITTOD by Led Zeppelin on vinyl. Not 100% sure on the exact release date for this pressing, but the center label says 1979. This appears to be the B sleeve variant. Outer sleeve is actually in alright condition, besides the spine having some damage (typical issue with older records) the outer sleeve is in really nice smooth shape. Inner sleeve looks and feels really new. The actual record is where you can start to see some problems.
The record’s center labels are in good shape, but if you look at some of the closer pictures I took of the grooves with the flash on, you can see some pretty deep scratches. Alongside the scratches you can see some dirt. When I first got this record years ago, I tried using some record care solution on it while cleaning it (it was in a lot worse shape back then) and it went from sounding extremely unlistenable to sounding somewhat listenable. I haven’t spun this one in a long time, but please be aware of this before deciding to purchase.
I would look at this specific one as more of a collectible display piece rather than an actual listenable piece unfortunately. Great for display but not so great for listening.
