DUST – Hard Attack. Kama Sutra Records KSBS 2059. FACTORY SEALED NEW VINYL RECORD ALBUM. Originally issued in 1972. Their second of two albums. This reissue from the 2000s. Comes in a standard single pocket jacket (not a gatefold cover) and features cover art by Frank Frazetta who later would produce similar cover art for a string of Molly Hatchet albums. MEMBERS:  Kenny Aaronson (bass, slide & pedal steel guitar), Richie Wise (electric & acoustic guitars, lead & background vocals), and Marc Bell (drums, percussion) with Fred Singer of Thog (piano, organ). Produced by Kenny Kerner and Richie Wise.

DESCRIPTION:  A New York hard-rock trio, who issued two albums in the early 70s. Marc Bell later played with Richard Hell’s Voidoids and The Ramones, but not before joining up with NYC rock band Estus who issued one album on Columbia Records in 1973. Kenny Aaronson went on to play with Stories, joined the Rick Derringer Band, and played with several hard-rock groups including HSAS (Hagar, Schon, Aaronson, Shrieve). He also played on Blue Oyster Cult’s Club Ninja album. Richie Wise and Kenny Kerner (their producer and collaborator) went on to produce the first two Kiss albums. Richie also has a producer credit and photo on Savoy Brown’s Greatest Hits/Live. It has been rumored that Dust also laid down some tracks for a third album that was never finished. Worth checking this band out if you are not yet familiar with their music.

All LPs are removed from their jackets and placed outside of the jacket for shipping. If an album comes sealed (and will be noted as such in the above description), it will be shipped whole unless you request that I open it up to place the disc outside of the jacket for shipping. Both jacket and disc are placed inside of an outer plastic sleeve before packing for shipping. I use professional corrugated record mailers with inside packing.

NEW LP:  This item is new and unplayed, but was received from a supplier without being shrink wrapped or cellophane wrapped; more common on imports but also many of the smaller independent US labels do not seal their LPs. These items are placed inside of a clear poly outer sleeve upon their receipt by me

MIX:  This sometimes appears in my title line and refers to a group's/artist's music having a mix of styles such a rock track with jazz then followed by a straight rock track followed by a psych rock track, etc., as opposed to a blues album with the album's tracks having predominantly one style.
