Hi! You're looking at an excellent condition LP which is a wonderful 1959 Christmas album on the RCA Victor Red Seal label and an early pressing with 8s / 1s stampers in the runout grooves--the record is titled "Pops Christmas Party" and features conductor ARTHUR FIEDLER and the Boston Pops performing a number of Christmas classics, including "White Christmas," "Sleigh Ride," "Winter Wonderland," "Parade of the Wooden Soldiers," "Dance of the Sugar-Plum Fairy," "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town," and a "Christmas Festival" medley of nine Holiday favorites. The LP is on the RCA Victor Red Seal label with the non-shaded dog "nipper" label and the serial number LM-2329, is a VERY early 2nd Pressing with 8S / 1S stampers in the runout grooves (the second side is pressed form an original stamper), was pressed at the Indianapolis Pressing Plant, and was made in the United States in 1959.
This album is in excellent condition and the vinyl is in VG++ condition and should play beautifully overall, with some moderate scuffs (mostly on side one) and some light paper scuffs that should not significantly affect play except for possibly a few very light tics in a couple of spots but no other significant imperfections; the cover is in NEAR MINT- (Ex) condition and has slight dings on the bottom tips, a clean 1 1/2 inch split on the lower opening edge, a slight partial split on the lower left edge, a few light dings on the upper edge and just slight shelfwear otherwise but NO other significant flaws--it's NOT a cutout! The ORIGINAL RCA VICTOR INNER SLEEVE is also included and in beautiful shape.
Vinyl Grading Standards (unless otherwise indicated, LPs are visually graded)
Mint (or M) – Sealed and effectively perfect with no signs of wear or ever having been played.
Near Mint -- A record with only the slightest evidence of ever having been handled.
Very Good Plus Plus (VG++) A very clean record that has no marks aside from slight scuffs and abrasions caused by removal from a paper inner sleeve or perhaps a few marks on the label caused by a turntable spindle.
Very Good Plus (VG+) A record that has had a number of plays and may have some superficial scuffs, possibly mild to moderate spindle marks and / or possibly hairline scratches on the vinyl, which may produce some intermittent pops and possibly very light background noise.
Very Good (VG) A record that has generally been well cared for, but has seen a fair amount of play, with some scuffing. hairline scratches, spindle marks and / or light scratches. Should play through well, with the possibility of more pops and more background noise.
Very Good Minus (VG-) A record with significant scuffs, scratches, and spindle marks that should play through with moderate pops and surface noise, possibly of some duration.
Good (G) A record with will play through, but with significant pops, substantial background noise, and possibly intermittent skipping.
Poor (P) A record with MAJOR issues that will interfere with play, and will possibly be unplayable in part due to damage (I'll only offer an LP in this condition if it's an extreme rarity and / or for cover art display purposes).
