Young Marble Giants - Final Day/ Radio Silents/ Cakewalking
(Rough Trade RT 043 UK 7" 1980)
This is a UK 1st Press 7" Single pressing in great overall condition! It has a top opening Picture Sleeve which is printed on card. There is a flipback at both side edges of the rear sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has solid paper "Rough Trade" labels. It has 1st press A1/ B1 matrix stampers. "A PORKY PRIME GENTLE CUT" and "JOB DONE" are machine etched in the dead wax on the A & B side respectively.
An excellent early 1980's Post-Punk/ Indie 7" single. UK 1st pressings are not that common. This is a great copy overall too! I have some other rare & collectable 1970's, early 1980's Punk/ New Wave and Post-Punk UK Original 7" Singles & LP's for sale. So please see my other items.
Sleeve: There is an extremely light 3.5 cm hairline crease on the front sleeve. This is not that noticeable. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear on some areas. There are no seam splits. Very NEAR EXCELLENT condition.
Vinyl: There are a few light, very mild or very minor sleeve rubs which can hardly be seen under a strong light. The picture sleeve, over time, has left some light, very mild or very minor dull surface marks on a few areas. These, again, can hardly be seen under a strong light. There is a very small 1 cm surface pressing mark on the play-out dead wax on one side only. A strong EXCELLENT condition. The labels are in Excellent+ condition and show minimal spindle wear only.
I have play tested this single in its entirety & it plays Excellent to Excellent+ overall, & Near Perfect in some places. There are no clicks or pops. Overall, a superb audio copy!
I shall place the vinyl into a separate plain paper sleeve. This will protect the original picture sleeve from any damage during the shipping process.
Traceable insurance is already included in the stated P&P price for this listing.
Discount is given on P&P for multiple purchases. I shall always weigh combined purchases to get a completely accurate price. So please wait for the invoice to be sent before paying. Please see below for a more detailed description.
AN INVOICE WILL BE SENT TO YOU VERY SOON AFTER THE AUCTION ENDS. PLEASE WAIT FOR THIS BEFORE PAYING.
Royal Mail have very recently increased their postage rates. So I have revised my postage costs to reflect their increases. (Please note that these prices include packaging costs too)
Double LPs are classed as two LPs. Also posters, inserts, etc.. can increase postage costs. One parcel must not exceed 2kg (approximately 4-6 LPS).
All records will be sent in high quality vinyl mailers with at least two card stiffeners either side of the LP or 7" Single. I use a cruciform box for larger orders (3-6 LPs). All parcels will be marked "Fragile" and dispatch time will generally be between 1-3 days after payment.
I will also remove the vinyl from the sleeve & place them in a re-sealable polythene sleeve. In order to prevent seam splits. Depending on the inner sleeve; I often remove the vinyl from the inner sleeve & place it in a separate plain paper, or polythene-lined, plain inner sleeve. I am very conscientious and careful when packaging your LP(s).
I consider my postage & packaging costs to be very transparent & very fair. Packaging costs will generally be between £0.80 to £1.50. I am not adding any further costs for handling, etc...
If you are uncertain about any of the above, or just simply want some information regarding any item, please do not hesitate to contact me. I welcome any question.
Remember to check out Lots of rare & quality vinyl! Most are UK 1st Pressings. It is quite likely that there will be more records by this artist, or records in a similar vein.
