(Virgin VS 191 UK 7" Single 1977)

 

This is a 1977 original UK Picture Sleeve 7" Single pressing in great overall condition! The vinyl looks to be virtually unplayed! The sleeve is printed in the UK. The vinyl is pressed in Holland specifically for the UK market.  The Picture Sleeve is side opening and is printed on matte card. It has a top & bottom flipback on the rear sleeve. "Delga Press Limited" is printed on the bottom flipback. There is a die-cut sleeve opening area on the rear sleeve too. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has pale blue "Virgin" labels. It has 1st press VR 08-10264-1A-1/ VR 08-10264-1B-1 matrix stampers.

These 1977 UK/ Holland hybrid pressings are quite rare. Especially hard to find in this great overall condition. I have some other rare & collectable late 1970's, early 1980's Punk, New Wave and Post-Punk UK 7" Singles and LP's for sale. So please see my other items.


Sleeve: There are two small mild. or very light, creases in the top corner tip area at the sleeve opening. These go through the sleeve to a varying degree, but are not too noticeable. There is some light, very mild or very minor rubbing wear on the sleeve opening edges on a few areas. This hardly really notices. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear on some areas. There are no seam splits. Overall, NEAR EXCELLENT condition.

Vinyl: Looks to be very near unplayed! Next to no sleeve rubs can be seen when viewed under a strong light. The sleeve, over time, has left some light, very mild or very minor dull surface marks on a few areas. These, again, can barely be seen under a strong light. EXCELLENT+ condition. The labels are in Very Near Mint condition and show next to no spindle wear.

I have play tested this 7" Single in its entirety & it plays Excellent to Excellent+ overall. There are no clicks or pops. A great audio copy! 

I shall place the record into a separate plain paper sleeve. This will protect the original picture sleeve from any damage during transit.

  >>  Grading Information All grading is very strict & adheres to 'Record Collector' specifications. However, I have fine tuned them & they are explained below. All vinyl is examined closely under a strong light & play tested.

MINT Condition = A perfect copy! Almost impossible to find like this. 

NEAR MINT Condition = Very nearly mint just slightly under, There may be a very few, very light paper surface sleeve rubs that can hardly be seen under strong light. This disc has been played a couple of times at most. The sleeve is virtually perfect - there is very minimal wear only.

EXCELLENT Condition = A clean & tidy copy that shows minimal defects. There will be light, very mild or very minor surface sleeve rubs. There will be no scratches. The cover will be very nice & clean with maybe minimal creasing, ringwear or edge rubbing wear etc...

NEAR EXCELLENT Condition = You can tell this record has been played a few times, but it has been well cared for. There will be minor surface marks only. The sleeve may have light, mild or very mild creasing,ringwear & very mild rubbing wear to the edges etc.... Overall, it will be a very serviceable copy that you will be pleased with.

Very Good Condition = A well played but very decent overall copy. There will be a few marks on the vinyl, but they won't be nasty scratches, just relatively light needle scuffs and sleeve removal marks, they will be noticeable but won't detract from play too much. Cover will show signs of storage/ ageing, e.g., creasing, slight folding, spinewear, ringwear or sticker tears etc... The record will not be trashed!!

Please note that I also use "+" or "-" symbols for this grading. A plus symbol is obviously at the top end of "Very Good" & is really not far from being in "near excellent" condition. The minus symbol obviously means it is at the lower end. This will mean that it is near to being in "Good+" condition.

Royal Mail have very recently increased their postage rates. So I have revised my postage costs to reflect their increases. (Please note that these prices include packaging costs too) 
Double LPs are classed as two LPs. Also posters, inserts, etc.. can increase postage costs. One parcel must not exceed 2kg (approximately 4-6 LPS).

All records will be sent in high quality vinyl mailers with at least two card stiffeners either side of the LP or 7" Single. I use a cruciform box for larger orders (3-6 LPs). All parcels will be marked "Fragile" and dispatch time will generally be between 1-3 days after payment.

I will also remove the vinyl from the sleeve & place them in a re-sealable polythene sleeve. In order to prevent seam splits. Depending on the inner sleeve; I often remove the vinyl from the inner sleeve & place it in a separate plain paper, or polythene-lined, plain inner sleeve. I am very conscientious and careful when packaging your LP(s).

I consider my postage & packaging costs to be very transparent & very fair. Packaging costs will generally be between £0.80 to £1.50. I am not adding any further costs for handling, etc...
