The Rolling Stones : Between The Buttons 5K/4K 1st Boxed Stereo Press
This blue boxed Decca pressing plays with a clarity, depth and power that is out of this world! Having listened to every track in full I can safely say it is the most 'complete' version of this classic album that I have ever heard. There is no interference at all, just one mega faint static on S1, and is without question a FINAL UPGRADE archive pressing. It is patently obvious this record has hardly ever been played and the stunning visual quality pays testament to that. In my opinion this album is up there as one of their best and you can understand why ...Satanic Majesties... followed later the same year, there are similarities.
The cover is excellent condition and has retained its original shape and structure perfectly. The original inner sleeve is also very clean.
This is the first label of this blue boxed pressing and was produced around 1970 - 1972 according to the stonesondecca site.

The audio on S1 is Mint(-)
The audio on S2 is Mint(-)
The cover is a very strong Ex
The original inner sleeve is Ex+
The labels are Mint-The intro on 'Yesterday's Papers' plays perfectly and the opening vocal section is just as clean. It continues in the same way and you really do notice the clarity of sound here, each note is so sharp and precise. It also plays with great depth and from start to finish there is no interference. A Mint start for sure.
With complete silence in the dead wax 'My Obsession' then plays to the same high end standard with no background. There is not even a dust tick, the clarity of sound is incredible and once again Mint is fully deserved.
The acoustic intro on 'Back Street Girl' plays beautifully, 'as new' in fact, and Jagger's first vocal is on the same level. I cannot overstate just how stunning the playback is here. There is one very quiet static tick in the instrumental passage just after the first vocal but that is not interference! Every section plays with sublime quality and this is a relatively quiet track. The more I listen to it the more I am impressed! The sonic quality is exceptional and it has to grade as Mint- at the very least. Such a great track.
'Connection' plays with real quality no interference again. A more powerful track and yet there is no distortion and you cannot fault the clarity and depth of the audio. Mint
The intro on 'She Smiled Sweetly' plays to perfection and the opening vocal is just as strong. This haunting and melodic track continues to play with a clarity that is second to none. A STUNNING version with Watts very much to the fore aided so much by Richards' deep bass not Wyman this time. The organ is such a key part to this classic and it plays so well here! This could not play any better and Mint is again deserved.
The piano intro on 'Cool, Calm & Collected' is flawless and thereafter plays as per the rest of the side, with stunning precision and no interference. As the last track on the side the sonic quality is incredible and every vocal and instrumental section has crystal clear audio. I know I can be somewhat verbose in my descriptions but when you hear audio such as this who can blame me! The audio is fantastic and the foot stomping instrumental that ends this classic is a prime example of that - STUNNING audio - and this is the most 'complete' version I have ever heard and is Mint in every way.
----------------------------------------------------------
'All Sound Out' plays with great power and again there is no interference. A strong track but I do think they could've made more of it, made it more powerful and longer! Nonetheless it grades as Mint
The intro on 'Please Go Home' is faultless and the opening vocal is equal to that. It continues in the same way through every section and again the audio quality is comparable to that of an unplayed vinyl. There are just no negatives and Mint is again deserved.
Another perfect intro on 'Who's Been Sleeping Here' and as the volume increases through the first vocal the clarity and definition of the audio is of the highest calibre. The standard does not drop as it progresses and again there is not even a solitary dust tick for company. Pure Mint audio from the first note to the last.
'Complicated' once more shows how well this vinyl has been preserved and plays with pristine audio throughout. 'Miss Amanda Jones' is just as impressive - the power and depth of the audio here is tangible, STUNNING audio in every way and both grade as Mint it does not get any better than this!
The intro and opening vocal on 'Something Happened To Me Yesterday' play with sublime quality and it continues to play with phenomenal quality from that point on. A 'vaudeville' feel about it the audio is so clean and fresh for a final track. I have never heard it play so well and it easily provides a Mint conclusion to this unique album.
In summary this stereo pressing plays to the highest standard possible with quite simply no intrusion. This is a FINAL UPGRADE in every sense as it just could not play with any greater precision. A favourite of mine, the tracks are so diverse, and the sonic quality is 'as new' I can pay it no higher compliment. It is the most 'complete' version of this classic album that I have ever encountered.
The Cover & Inner Sleeve
The cover is in great condition and the only 'wear' is a few faint spots on the back cover and a couple of tiny corner creases. It has been so well looked after and the edges, spine and corners are very clean indeed. There are also a couple of small laminate creases on the front cover but overall it would not be easy to find a better one, remember it is still over 50 years old!
The original poly-lined inner sleeve is very clean with no side splits and only light creasing and minimal age related fading around the edges.

THIS IS WHAT A SELLER SHOULD BE LIKE ON HIGH END VINYL! Exactly as described if not better ! I could not be a happier customer .. well packed for international flight .. and shipped and received very fast .. No worries here this guy is the topsPostage & Packaging
I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping. This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage. The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered. Any over-payment will always be refunded.
The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD). An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known. Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing. Please wait for the invoice before making payment and if you have any questions please feel free to ask. Many thanks.
All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection. They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection. I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.
The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each. There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up! Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
