This is the original 1986 UK EMI picture label issue with the very early A-1-1-1, B-1-1-1 etc. matrices of the very first pressings..

The fifteenth album by Roy Harper and his second live album released in August 1986 and recorded at various live gigs over 18 months. Roy Harper had run into problems with EMI/Harvest in 1978/9 during the recording of Commercial Breaks, his first attempt at his tenth album. In the aftermath of this dispute he quit Harvest and began his own label, but soon ran into financial problems and spent much of the early 1980's performing live, as at the final Stonehenge Festival in 1984. Working live with Jimmy Page he released 'What Ever Happened to Jugula' in 1985 on Beggars Banquet. The popularity of the album led EMI to re-sign him and issue this double live album. This featured Jimmy Page on some tracks and several songs are from their performance at the Cambridge Folk Festival that year.

The UK printed glossy sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light corner/edge wear and some very light storage rubbing and small creases on the front cover. The spine is intact and fully readable, the plain company inners are intact & in EX+ condition.

The records are in visually EX+ condition, with only one or two faint sleeve removal hairlines visible on each side. The labels are in EX+ condition, clean & bright with no evidence of spindle markings on either side.

The sound reproduction is EX+, still clear & precise throughout with no loud pops, hiss or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some very brief background noise during the run in grooves.
Overall, just a really great, loud & lively listen.

The matrix nos. are; E-50041, A-1-1-2 stamper D, B-1-1-1 stamper D, E-50042, A-1-1-1-1 stamper D, B-1-1-1-1- . This is one of earliest copies of the first pressing of the original UK stereo issue of this classic 1986 album!
