Halo Records was a 1950s label from Union City, New Jersey. Parent label was Record Corporation Of America. Company founded in 1950 by former Radio Corporation of America RCA executive Eli Oberstein to combine the operations of many smaller labels he owned, such as Varsity, Allegro, Rondo and Halo into one corporate entity. The name was probably deliberately chosen to create confusion with his former employer's name. In fact, Oberstein liked to refer to his Record Corporation Of America publicly as "RCA". He sold most of this company, with the exception of the Rondo label, in the late 1950s to Pickwick Sales Corp. (wiki)
