Queen + Paul Rodgers : The Cosmos Rocks 2LP A-1 / B-1 / C-1 / D-1 1st Press 2008

This double album plays with perfect audio on all four sides with no background of any kind.  Based on the sonic quality on offer here I would not be surprised if the vinyls had never been played before and indeed there is no spindle wear on the labels backing up that theory.  Pressed on heavyweight vinyl the records are visually stunning and it easily qualifies as a FINAL UPGRADE pressing.

The gatefold is also in fantastic condition, it has been so well preserved, and the lyric inners are 'as new' with no wear.

Visual description

The vinyls are in great condition and still have an immaculate glossy sheen with no scratches.  S1 has one tiny blemish and a faint surface line but they have zero impact on the superb audio.  Aside from that the records are visually stunning and the labels are perfect with no marking or spindle wear.

Play grading

The intro on 'Cosmos Rockin' plays perfectly and as the volume increases the playback is just as good.  Rodger's opening vocal has no intrusion and this 'as new' quality is prevalent throughout I am pleased to say.  It plays loud and true and Mint is richly deserved.  'Time To Shine' plays to the same high end standard and 'Still Burnin' ends S1 with a clarity, depth and power that could not be improved upon.  A Mint side in every way, there is not even a solitary dust tick!
A quieter track 'Small' nonetheless plays with stunning clarity and warmth with no sign of any intrusion.  The sonic quality is equal to that of an un-played record so clearly Mint is the only grade I can give.  'Warboys' and 'We Believe' both play with stunning precision with literally nothing getting in the way of the audio.  It may not be a true Queen album but there is no doubting the quality of the audio.  This side is Mint from start to finish.

'Call Me' is 'as new' and in fact every track on S3 plays to the highest standard possible.  As always I have listened to every track in full so as not to miss anything as providing the 'complete' grade is what every buyer deserves in my opinion.  'Voodoo' and 'Some Things That Glitter' are faultless and the single 'C-lebrity' ends the side with real power and depth and of course no intrusion.  Another Mint side.
'Through The Night' plays with pristine audio from the first note to the last and then the best track on the album 'Say It's Not True' plays beautifully with no intrusion.  You can tell it was written by Roger and would not be out of place on his Happiness album!  'Surf's Up...School's Out' plays with great power and depth and again you cannot fault the clarity of sound.  'Small 'reprise' ends the album with perfect clarity once more.
In summary this album plays like it has never been played before and as stated may well not have been!  The clarity, depth, power and warmth of the audio is undoubtedly 'as new' and I cannot find one single negative.  Mint all the way there is not a single minus to be seen!
The Gatefold & Lyric Inners
The glossy cover is in superb condition and does not look to have been handled.  The edges and wide spine have no wear and the corners are incredibly clean also.  The opening edges are pristine and the front cover is more or less perfect with just one tiny corner crease bottom right.  The back cover just has one mega faint spot and the inside is immaculate.  It could hardly be any more impressive!
The inner sleeves are as good as new with no side splits, marking or creasing.
Play tested on my Rega P2 with AT VM95EN Cart / Denon PMA-520AE Amp / B&W 684 Speakers

The records have been cleaned on a Pro-Ject VC-S machine

Postage & Packaging

I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping.  This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage.  The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered.  Any over-payment will always be refunded.

The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD).  An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known.  Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing.  Please wait for the invoice before making payment and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.  Many thanks.

All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection.  They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection.  I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.

The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each.  There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up!  Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
