"The O'Jays Collectors' Items - Greatest Hits" is a must-have for any fan of 1970s Philly Soul. It's on Philadelphia International Records and was produced by the great Gamble and Huff, who wrote most of the tracks. This 1977 Vinyl LP is a compilation of some of the greatest hits by The O'Jays including Love Train, Backstabbers, 992 Arguments, Darlin' Darlin' Baby and Message in Our Music. The album is the UK Vinyl LP version (Catalogue Number PIR 32189) and I've had this record since the 1980s (it still has the pricing sticker on the cover). Have 100% play tested it and the sound quality is at Very Good Plus, if not Excellent, apart from some crackle on the introductory few seconds of the lead tracks on Sides One and Two, plus a very, very slight jump on Side Two, Track 2 (Time to Get Down). While I'd class the vinyl record as Very Good Plus (VG+), unfortunately the cardboard sleeve is in Fair (F) to Acceptable condition as, though it still looks good visually, it's been repaired with sellotape a long time ago on the top and bottom edges and there is wear at the open edge and on the spine (see pictures). The inner paper sleeve is in reasonably Good condition with one crease and going yellowy but it protects the record well. So overall I'd class the whole package as Very Good and thus mid-priced it accordingly. See pictures for track listing. Any other questions, please contact me via Ebay messaging.
