Hi! You're looking at a SUPERB condition vinyl LP which is a FIRST PRESSING 1970 issue on the Atco Records label and the classic second album by the Southern Rock group THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND titled "Idlewild South"--the album features group leader DUANE ALLMAN on lead and slide guitars (this was the last album completed before Allman's death in a motocycle accident in October 1971) and also features original members GREGG ALLMAN on vocals, organ and piano, DICKEY BETTS on lead guitar, BERRY OAKLEY on bass and vocals, JAI JOHANNY JOHANSON (Jaimoe) on drums, conga, timbales and percussion, BUTCH TRUCKS on drums and tympani, and frequent guest musician THOM DOUCETTE on harmonica and percussion. This classic album includes many longtime concert favorites in their first recordings, including "Midnight Rider" and "Don't Keep Me Wonderin'" by Gregg Allman, and "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" and "Revival" by Dickey Betts. The LP was issued on the Atco Records label and is a 1st PRESSING made at the Terre Haute Pressing Plant and a 1970 issue with the serial number SD 33-342, is a STEREO issue and was pressed in the United States.
This LP is in SUPERB condition and the vinyl is in NEAR MINT- (Ex) condition and should play beautifully, with some light paper scuffs in spots on the surfaces that should not affect play and NO other significant imperfections; the cover is also in NM- condition with a very small sticker abrasion on the upper right corner of the front surface, slight dings on the tips, five tiny check marks next to the titles on the back surface, a few slight scuffs and light shelfwear but no other significant imperfections--it's NOT a cutout!
Please Note: I CAN ship records outside of the United States but will need to get a weight estimate based on the final PACKAGED weight for this record--I cannot ship for the $4.00 U.S. Media Rate and the quoted International Shipping Rate may differ from the final shipping rate due to packaged weight differences so please wait to make payment until a final invoice is received. Thanks!
Vinyl Grading Standards (unless otherwise indicated, LPs are visually graded)
Mint (or M) – Sealed and effectively perfect with no signs of wear or ever having been played.
Near Mint -- A record with only the slightest evidence of ever having been handled.
Very Good Plus Plus (VG++) A very clean record that has no marks aside from slight scuffs and abrasions caused by removal from a paper inner sleeve or perhaps a few marks on the label caused by a turntable spindle.
Very Good Plus (VG+) A record that has had a number of plays and may have some superficial scuffs, possibly mild to moderate spindle marks and / or possibly hairline scratches on the vinyl, which may produce some intermittent pops and possibly very light background noise.
Very Good (VG) A record that has generally been well cared for, but has seen a fair amount of play, with some scuffing. hairline scratches, spindle marks and / or light scratches. Should play through well, with the possibility of more pops and more background noise.
Very Good Minus (VG-) A record with significant scuffs, scratches, and spindle marks that should play through with moderate pops and surface noise, possibly of some duration.
Good (G) A record with will play through, but with significant pops, substantial background noise, and possibly intermittent skipping.
Poor (P) A record with MAJOR issues that will interfere with play, and will possibly be unplayable in part due to damage (I'll only offer an LP in this condition if it's an extreme rarity and / or for cover art display purposes).
