Goodbye Yellow Brick Road is the seventh studio album by English singer, pianist, and composer Elton John, first released on 5 October 1973 as a double album by DJM Records. The album has sold more than 20 million copies worldwide and is widely regarded as John's magnum opus. Among the 17 tracks, the album contains the hits "Candle in the Wind," US number-one single "Bennie and the Jets," "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" and "Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting", along with the live favourite "Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding."

Recorded at the Studio d'enregistrement Michel Magne at the Château d'Hérouville in France, the album became a double LP once John and his band became inspired by the locale.

GUIDE TO CONDITION

We endeavour to describe condition as accurately as possible using one of the following 5 levels of grading however this should be taken as a broad guide to the items condition.

NOTE   please bear in mind the condition appraisal is solely based on a visual inspection i.e. not play tested

EXCELLENT (E) - perfect condition with no audible or visible defects whatsoever. The record and cover/sleeve are exactly as brand new.

VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) - almost mint but with one or two very minor but visible surface marks on the cover / sleeve or record surface.

VERY GOOD (VG)  - there may be odd very light surface marks on vinyl. The cover/sleeve may also show very slight wear

GOOD (G) - there may be a some light surface / scratch marks on vinyl which may affect sound. The cover/sleeve may also show some wear.

FAIR to GOOD (F – G) – should play well without jumping, however the surface and / or cover / sleeve probably may show visible signs of wear due to the fact that it has been played on a regular basis. There may a few audible surface marks which may cause some minor crackles and pops.

FAIR (F) - The surface and/or cover/sleeve may show visible signs of wear due to the fact that it has been played on a regular basis. The Vinyl may crackle and pop but does not jump unless stated otherwise in the actual item description.
