The Sons Of The Purple Sage was a Southern California western/cowboy act which had several line-ups with a convoluted murky history. The earliest version of the group came about when Buck Page, who had used the name "Riders Of The Purple Sage" for his own band a decade earlier while playing on the East Coast let Foy Willing use that name for his band (which he did till he passed away in 1978). Page gravitated towards Los Angeles to work in the TV and film

NM

Near Mint

Near perfect, probably played only a few times.

EX

Excellent

Minor scuffs, slightly visible, not more than 15% of surface. Scratches that cannot be felt with fingernail. Plays close to perfect.

VG+

Very Good Plus

Vinyl in a really good shape with only superficial signs of use
that don't affect play. Only well cared for records will grade
out to VG+. Will satisfy all but the most demanding collector.

VG

Very Good

A used, reasonable copy. There will be obvious signs of wear
and the possibility of light surface noise between tracks or
during quiet passages, but still quite nice.
