Got this gem of a record at an estate sale about two years ago, and was floored to see that the older gentleman had this in his collection to sell. But, after it I got to looking into it and taking it to a local record shop owner, it is an original pressing. The record is in excellent condition for its age, I've personally never dared to play it for the time I've had it in my possession.
!The record comes in such fantastic condition, hardly seeing any scratches at all. It is indeed a 1st US Pittman Press, all the matrix numbers match. It does come with the original inner sleeve, it's great condition as well. Besides the small rip on the bottom seam of the sleeve in the center, that's the only thing about it.
Then the jacket, there's no fading on the artwork on the front or back, everything is legible and artwork is clear. Also the cover and the backside shows little to no ring wear at all, which is a plus. But the takeaway is the top half corner of the spine next to the Columbia logo, of the jacket is cracked and has peeled in color. Could be due to shelf wear or how it was stored, but I made sure to mitigate any further wear under my ownership.
This record also comes hard for me to let go, but I know there's someone out there that will cherish it way more, or is a way bigger fan of The Stooges, than I am. But thanks in advance to anyone willing to take a look at the listing. Just wanted to see if anyone is possibly interested.
