Comments : All my records are graded conservatively after international acclaimed GOLDMINE standard. All records are graded visually, not play-tested, except where noted. I NEVER grade a record MINT unless it's in a STILL SEALED cover OR if it comes from my own collection and I KNOW it's unplayed.

Details / Extras : The record is unplayed and shows NO signs of use. I doubt you'll find another copy of this gem in this condition easily.

Comments : All my covers, labels and inners are graded conservatively after international acclaimed GOLDMINE standard. I ALWAYS grade them half a note WORSE than they actually are. I've had too many problems with MOON GRADINGS as a BUYER in my years of collecting.

Details : The original DIE-CUT gatefold-cover with the great shot of Lynn holding the LION-PUB to her breast, shows some very minor general signs of wear around. The ultra delicate CAGE-BARS on the front-panel Miss Carey is seen behind, are destroyed in most copies you find nowadays BUT not THESE here. Other dealers would give it a clean NM to M - but due to my strict grading ...

Details : Both labels show NO spindle marks or any other signs of wear.

Bio / Comments : LYNN CAREY, Los Angeles, CA. born singer/songwriter, actress and model joined the totally unknown Underground/Hippie/Acid band C.K. STRONG in the late 1960's and recorded their legendary and extremely hard to obtain self-titled album in 1969.

When that band broke up, she hooked up with bass player Neil Merryweather from Chicago in 1970 and together with legendary harmonica player Charlie Musselwhite, they recorded the "Ivar Avenue Reunion" album. In 1972, together with Merryweather and drummer Coffi Hall she form the band MAMA LION. They released the debut album "Preserve Wildlife" in 1972 and it caused quite some stir because it shows Miss Carey on the inside of the so-called CAGE-COVER, holding a LION-PUB to her bare breast.

I personally think it's a beautiful shot and I love it BUT back then in 1972 and in the prude USofA ... Here in liberal Europe, nobody gave a ...

The stamped Matrix #'s on this beauty are: 10 AA6369153 1Y//2 and 2Y plus the line Manufactured in Germany in both dead-grooves.

The record itself is unplayed and the cover with two of the CAGE-BARS repaired by me is in a condition you'll hardly find again - Most copies I've seen in my time as a collector have been destroyed due to it's vulnerability.
