This auction is for a Rolling Stones Original First Issue Cover LP titled
"Some Girls", Stereo, #COC39108, 1978 Promotone B.V. , Printed in the USA.  This  LP is a limited edition First Issue and is long out of print.   The front of the cover contains a sticker advertising the song "Miss You" and it also has the catalog number on the sticker. Even has the Walmart Price Sticker still on it! It is still factory sealed in mint condition inserted in clear plastic album slip cover. 
 This is a beautiful copy of this album and it will be your final upgrade.  This LP will come with the original picture insert with various faces.   Grab it while  you can get it.  This is the only sealed copy I have to sell.  It is a "must" for the Rolling Stones collector or fan.

            

Packaging and Artwork

The album cover for Some Girls was designed by , who would design the next three album covers as well, with illustrations by Hubert Kretzschmar. An elaborate die-cut design, with colours varying on different sleeves, it featured The Rolling Stones in garish drag alongside select female celebrities and lingerie ads. The cover immediately ran into trouble when , ,  (representing her mother ), , and the estate of  threatened legal action.

The album was quickly reissued with a revised cover that removed all the celebrities whether they had complained or not, and were replaced with black and punk style garish colours with the phrase Pardon our appearance - cover under re-construction. Jagger later apologised to Minnelli when he encountered her during a party at the famous discothèque . The only celebrity whose face was not removed was that of ex-Beatle George Harrison. A third version of the album cover with hand-drawn women was found on the 1986 CD reissue.
