This is the ultra rare, initial pressing that is the mylar picture disc version, not the screen printed version that went into production. A mylar acetate print is included with this record. This is the NOISE version. New copy. More info on this pressing:
"You may recall the great expense we endured with the first pressing of
Vein. The original idea was to press perfectly clear picture discs
(these are the samples from that attempt) but we ended up having to go
with screen printed records. The mylar shifted fractions of an inch
within the heat of the press, one or two small tiny bubbles formed and
in some instances the goat image skewed a little bit. A lot of money
(and I mean a lot) time was lost in this process.
A lot of sales listings mistakenly refer to the commercially sold
pressing as picture discs when in fact it was all screen printed vinyl.
The picture disc version is much heavier due to the weight of the mylar
combined with the heavy weight of the vinyl. The vinyl plays fine
although the tiny bubbles (of which there are two or three on each
record) create a low thud when the bubble occurs within the playable
area. These are some of the only mylar picture discs ever manufactured.
Keep in mind this is one of the only instances of mylar picture discs
ever being attempted!
While they do function well as records (despite the bubbling) they're
archival in nature and intended for the curious, extreme collector.
These are super rare sample records and are particularly fascinating if
you're into vinyl and how it's manufactured." Important Records
All payments are to be made within 3 days of purchase, unless a request is made by contacting me for further time/extension. I have ZERO tolerance for non-paying buyers who waste my time, as I provide excellent and fair customer service. A non-payment case will be opened if payment is not received within the time frame. If payment is still not received, the buyers account will be flagged and possibly sanctioned, and will be blocked from making any future purchases. I accept Paypal, and most other forms of payment are accepted. Please contact me with further information.
The primary shipping carrier I use is USPS, although Fed Ex and UPS are also available if requested. Domestic orders will receive tracking at no charge with all orders. International buyers have the option of First Class Mail International, which is basic airmail service and cannot be tracked or insured, or Priority Mail International, which is completely trackable and insured. Registered airmail service is also available if requested. I always combine shipping costs, which is based on the total weight of the parcel, and adds up to large savings on shipping. Please contact me for shipping quotes for multiple items. All orders are safely and securely packed in record box mailers with bubblewrap; additional measures are taken for larger orders, which include additional padding, oversize boxes, double-boxing, and reinforced corners. All opened/unsealed records are packed with vinyl outside the covers to prevent split seams. Sealed records can be requested to be opened and packed in the same manner if requested.
