About the series: In The Fishtank is an ever ongoing project basedout of the Netherlands. In this collection musicians are invited to whom we feel strongly related to record. They are given two days studio time and freedom to do whatever they like musically. The Fishtank offers a space for expression and experimentation, results may vary but are always surprising.

Original 1996 Liner notes: NoMeansNo and Konkurrent go back a long way. One could almost consider us a married couple. They have always been one of our favourite and most prominent bands in our distribution. Not only are they still making their unique and beautiful music, but they remain one of the few bands that have managed to retain their principles of independence. For these reasons we are very pleased and proud that they are the first release in this series.

2013 update: NoMeansNo and Konkurrent continue working together. The first Fishtank vinyl went to the collector’s market, being out of print for over 15 years. It’s high time for this re-release from newly minted vinyl masters and with improved artwork (please note that the included stock picture is of the original artwork, the new artwork will look different).
