The 16th installment in the limited run Daytrotter Presents vinyl series, this 180-gram, split 12-inch vinyl features one of Canada's great exports in twin sisters Tegan and Sara and a young New York City-based songwriter who is showing the same pure pop melodicism that the Quinn sisters have perfected over the years. The Tegan and Sara side was recorded in 2010, when the band was touring through the Midwest in support of its 2009 album, "Sainthood." The songs on Weiss' side show the 26-year-old singing about love in a way that makes us feel that she believes in it, even after it's hurt her. They are the kind of emotions you set on a turntable and listen to in the dark. Thanks for the support and enjoy!
