BLONDIEHeart Of Glass / 11:59 (´79 / on offer here is a very rare and almost "unknown" issue* / CHRYSALIS CHS 2295 / blue/white label / the scan shows the front p/s, the back sleeve is plain white without any text / *there is no country of origin stated - I´ve tried to find out (for instance on popsike), where the record has been manufactured and what kind of issue it is; I found out, that there are various opinions, which are - at least in parts - contradicting each other - the version, that sounds most "logical" to me, is the following: the record is a US pressing, and it was made for export to Europe, and almost certainly the destination of that export was Belgium (some sources are listing France as the destination, but in my opinion that´s quite unlikely - to my knowledge there are almost no records in existence, that were imported from the USA to France, it was a link, that more or less didn´t exist - so why should this 7" be an exception? / on the other hand it was almost "typical" for Belgian records - vinyl as well as sleeves - that the country of origin wasn´t mentioned at all, which makes it even more likely, that this is a Belgian import) / as stated above, it has not been stated, where the sleeve has been manufactured, so it´s possible, that either the p/s was "specially" made for export purposes in the USA, but it´s also possible, that the sleeve has been manufactured in Belgium (another inotable fact: if you´re a bit acquainted with Belgian records, you´ll surely be aware of the fact, that there was something like a "tradition" to import records from the USA and bring them into the shops with Belgian-made sleeves, that in most cases were different to all other countries) / so after all I´m about 99% sure, that this is a US export to Belgium, as this version is the only one, that really does make "sense"! / anyway this must be a very rare and "unique" p/s - at best you take a look at the various items shown on popsike to make your own mind up! (you´ll also see on popsike, that most sellers seem to be a bit "insecure" about the record's heritage and that the prices are varying from a rather modest level to extremely high prices... I´ll start at the lowest level, and it´s left up to you, where the bidding will end! / the record will be shipped by - free! - registered mail, all costs are included) CONDITION P/S: VG+(+)
CONDITION VINYL: VG to VG(+) DESCRIPTION: the corners and the top of the p/s are a bit bent / otherwise the p/s is in very nice condition, there´s only a very light ringwear / the vinyl has some light hairlines on the surface, but there are no serious scratches / the labels are clean
