HOW WE GRADE ITEMS:

We Visually Grade All Items and Play Grade When Appropriate.

Vinyl Grade First / Cover Grade last

I.E. Double Album = VG+/NM/VG+

Grading Criteria:

Mint (M)

Factory condition: Looks unplayed or still sealed.

Near Mint (NM or M-)

A nearly perfect record. Cover, inner sleeves and extras should have no more than the most minor signs of handling.

Excellent (EX / VG++) Record surfaces, cover, labels, inner sleeves and extras may show slight signs of use. The cover may have a cut-out hole, notch or a corner clip.

Very Good Plus (VG+)

Record surfaces, cover, labels, inner sleeves and extras may show signs of repeated use like paper scuffs, hairlines, rubs or light scratches that don't affect play. Low noise (crackles) may be heard in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade. Slight warps that do not affect play are ok. The cover may have shelf wear or a cut-out hole, notch or corner clip.

Very Good (VG)

Many of the defects found on VG+ record surfaces, cover, labels, inner sleeves and extras are more pronounced on a VG grade. Surface noise (crackles/pops) will be evident. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will scratches deep enough to feel that may affect the sound. Skips are possible depending on your tone arm balance. Cover, labels, inner sleeves and extras may be marred by shelf wear, writing, or have tape or stickers attached. Don't buy a VG graded record if you want a noise free listening experience.

Good (G), Good Plus (G+)

Record surfaces will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear that may skip. A cover or sleeve may have seam splits, tape, writing or other defects. Don't buy a G+ graded record if you want a good listening experience.

First, we promise accurate grading and fast shipping along with professional packaging. But most importantly you can be assured of good old-fashioned customer service. You can expect our service to be friendly and professional. We've been in the vinyl record business serving thousands of customers since 1998. Our goal is for you to return to our store and recommend us to others. So we wish for you to only to have a positive experience.

We are avid collectors who got started like most do trying to find the albums we had in our teens. That process educated us just enough to want some additional rare and artsy collectable albums. Then we bought someone's collection thinking we'd keep some and sell the rest to support our growing addiction. Turns out, going through all those records hoping to find some diamonds in the rough is addicting all by itself. Well, pretty soon we had thousands of records at home, the local consignment shop and online. I don't think the revenue is supporting our habit but it keeps us out there beating the bushes rescuing more vinyl. Does any of this sound familiar? We promise full disclosure, accurate grading, professional packaging, fast shipping, a 30 day money back guarantee and free returns. But most importantly you can be assured of good old-fashioned friendly and professional customer service. We've been in the vintage record business since 1998. Our goal is for you to return to our store and recommend us to others so our only wish for you is to have a positive experience. Ridge & Jo
