HOW WE GRADE ITEMS:

We Visually Grade All Items and Play Grade When Appropriate.

Vinyl Grade First / Cover Grade last

I.E. Double Album = VG+/NM/VG+

Grading Criteria:

Mint (M)

Factory condition: Looks unplayed or still sealed.

Near Mint (NM or M-)

A nearly perfect record. Cover, inner sleeves and extras should have no more than the most minor signs of handling.

Excellent (EX / VG++) Record surfaces, cover, labels, inner sleeves and extras may show slight signs of use. Surface marks if present will be few and inconsequential. The cover may have a cut-out hole, notch or a corner clip.

Very Good Plus (VG+)

Record surfaces, cover, labels, inner sleeves and extras may show signs of repeated use like paper scuffs, hairlines, rubs or light scratches that don't affect play. Low noise may be heard in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade. Slight warps that do not affect play are ok. The cover may have shelf wear or a cut-out hole, notch or corner clip.

Very Good (VG)

Many of the defects found on VG+ record surfaces, cover, labels, inner sleeves and extras are more pronounced on a VG grade. Surface noise (crackles/pops) will be evident. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will scratches deep enough to feel that may affect the sound. Non-repeating skips are possible depending on your tone arm balance. Cover, labels, inner sleeves and extras may be marred by shelf wear, writing, or have tape or stickers attached. Don't buy a VG graded record if you want a noise free listening experience.

Good (G), Good Plus (G+)

Record surfaces will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear that may skip repeatedly. A cover or sleeve may have seam splits, tape, writing or other defects. Don't buy a G+ graded record if you want a good listening experience.
