          Near Mint  . . . . . . .  looks and sounds flawless, especially during soft passages.
                                             
          Very Good ++ . . . .  or Near Mint Minus at best.  Vinyl may reveal a very few                                            scuff marks, but they are not evident in the actual play.
          Very Good + . . . . .  light scuffing and / or non-feelable scratches do not effect a good player                                            on a good turntable.  Soft passages mostly free of  surface noise. 

          Very Good  . . . . . .  vinyl has more scuffing and light scratches, which are easily heard, but not
                                           intrusive. 

          Good  . . . . . . . . . . . will play without skipping or repeats, but surface noise is evident                                            throughout.
