Stretching
from around 1925 to 1939. Lovingly remastered from 78s and archived
material, sourced from EMI vaults and collectors.
Each
LP, with sequentially-numbered sleeves, covers a particular era in
the emergence of this music. There's a reasonably exhaustive 6-page
guide inside the heavyweight card box, giving a who's-who on the
performers. A whole wealth of bands, who provided some classic hits
over the BBC airwaves during the War, along with putting on the style
in hotels & dance halls in the UK and abroad during the Dance
Band Years.
