FS Factory Sealed
NM Record has never been played. Often, a sealed lp (e.g. Blue Note, Prestige) is opened to check label designation
N Record may be unplayed or has been played once or couple of times. There may be a couple hairline marks visible under light and very close inspection. If there are multiple hairline marks, I will list as N- or E+. There should not be any issues at all.N- Very light hairline marks can be seen upon close inspection. There may be minor signs of the record being taken in and out of the inner sleeve, or tiny signs of use generally. Imperfections will NOT affect playback.
E+ Very little if any surface noise in spots. Many E+ records could play out as essentially new. Often will have surface scratches upon closer inspection. Should be suitable for most.
E Slight overall surface noise typical of many older used LPs (should not be a record that is loaded with pops & tics. Should NOT have any scratches that could be felt, however surface scratch are likely present). High filters on many stereos could remove the slight overall noise. Will have some light scraths, or may have numerous hairline scratches and/or surface scuffs. E records overall should play fine without any much if any disruption.
E- Surface and background noise below music level but record is noisy. Will have scratches. Scrathes on E- graded records will typical be slightly more significant than hairline, but will NOT have deep scracthes. Most marks will still be surface but will be longer and/or more will be present than an record graded E or E+
