Hear 1956 Lightnin Hopkins & Ruth Ames Blues 45 (Finally Met My Baby)
Lightnin’ Hopkins with his protégé Ruth (Blues) Ames – “Finally Met My Baby” b/w “That’s Alright Baby” (Herald 483). Great late summer of 1956 Texas jump blues by Hopkins and Ames with Ames taking lead vocal. Flip is another great blues cut. Take a listen to a little of each side. Vinyl is in M- condition but two stickers and a slight tear on flip label (see scan) so I’ll call it VG+.
