This unnumbered Trans-Radio Production album is titled "The University of New Hampshire Album" and contains three 12-inch 78 RPM records. I don't see a catalog number for the whole album, but the sides are individually numbered as follows:
TR-314 -- "Loch Lomond" and "The Cossack" by the UNH Men's Glee Club, directed by Karl H. Bratton
TR-315 -- "The Swan" and "Dance Song" by the UNH Women's Glee Club, directed by Elaine Majchrzak
TR-316 -- "Selections from tales of the Vienna Woods" by the UNH Symphony Orchestra, directed by George E. Reynolds
TR-317 -- "Inflammatus" by Grace Miller, Soprano; and "Czechoslovakian Dance Song" by the UNH Concert Choir, directed by Karl H. Bratton
TR-318 -- "Medley of UNH School Songs" by the UNH Symphonic Band and Concert Choir, directed by George E. Reynolds
TR-319 -- "Russian Sailor's Dance" by the UNH Symphonic Band, directed by George E. Reynolds
The records are pressed on red vinyl, and I don't see a date anywhere. (My first guess would be 1940's, or maybe early 1950's.) The top of the labels read "Recorded by C. W. French, Trans Radio Productions."
To stress its scarcity, let me add that I've not come across any other copies of this album for sale anywhere on the internet. Not only that, but I haven't found it on any search site, the closest being a reference on worldcat.org (which, let's face it, lists almost everything ever published) to a 1960 LP that appears to include this work on one side.
The records look to be in about VG to VG+ condition, still nice and shiny, but with some visible surface scuffs and scratches. I've played all three records on my Audio-Technica turntable, with no skips or jumps, but with varying degrees of audible background noise, mostly just light swishing or crackle, but also a few passages of repetitive ticking. Because of variations in tracking ability, filtering technology and needle weights, I can offer no guarantees as to how well it will play on your equipment.
The album is also in solid and functional condition, with typical light surface and edge wear on the cover. On the inside, the record pockets are intact and the inside covers are clean and undamaged.
International Buyers – Please Note: Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying. Customs fees are normally charged by the shipping company or collected when you pick the item up. These fees are not additional shipping charges. We won't under-value merchandise or mark the item as a gift on customs forms. Doing that is against U.S. and international laws. COMBINED SHIPPING: See our seller list for other interesting and unusual items, in fact bid on several and you might save on shipping and handling. If you buy multiple items, and if it's feasible and cost-effective for us to ship the items together, we will gladly consider requests to combine shipping at a reduced cost. Just e-mail us, and we can provide combined shipping cost estimates on a case-by-case basis. Depending on weight and other considerations, we typically offer full shipping rate for the first item, then 50 cents or $1.00 per item. And if you are purchasing multiple items, please make the payment as a single payment, rather than trying to pay for each item separately. Oh, and this may sound obvious, but we can't reduce the shipping charges for items on which we offer free shipping.
