this is a lovely 2-in-1 lot of original red label parlophone original uk 45s and better still both with "factory sample" stickers and in original bags.
The "Love Me Do" is in lovely shape, it does have a few marks but a) it plays great and b) it still has tons of shine and clean labels. this comes in the lovely "special rush copy" sleeve. rates at a pretty strong VG+ "Love Me Do" matrixes: a) 7XCE 17144 - IN with a ZT I (at approx 6 and 9 o c'lock positions) and on b side) 7XCE 17145 - IN and ZT 1 at same positions.
the "please please me" has 2 Xs on A side label, presumably a former dj's markings but otherwise the labels are clean. this one's condition is less impressive than the love me do- plays through fine, a bit crackly and visually it's a G+ and could do with a clean. "Please Please Me" matrixes a) 7XCE 17217 - IN with a PT 1 on side in exactly same positions as above LMD 7" and b) 7XCE 17218 - IN and a MPT 2 in same positions
BOTH WITH THE LETTER 'L' IN THE 3 O'CLOCK POSITION
still, a lovely lot and am confident some on here might even ask for this price alone on the love me do- it's a gem!
