First pressing of the King Crimson album - In the court of the Crimson King. Housed in the earlier cover with the printers name, (picture 9). The cover is EX+. It is solid has no tears or writing. The cover is superb for it's age. The corners are sharp, very little edge wear. The spine is crystal clear & only has very slight wear at the top & bottom corners. Please study the pictures carefully. This is a brilliant example of the original cover. Hard to believe it is 52 years old.
Matrices are ILPS 9111 A2 & B2. Visually the vinyl is in VG++ condition(very close to Ex). It does have an unfeelable light mark on side 1 across the end of track 2 & the beginning of track 3 but this has no effect on the audio. Otherwise if held in bright sunlight or a strong light it has some very light sleeve removal marks as well. Audio is easily Ex. Their are no skips or jumps, no repetitive clicks or pops. The labels are the original rough/textured labels. The later releases on the Pink label A2/B3 & A2/B4 have smooth labels. Another difference is that the earliest release has the grooved label.
