THE RECORD PLAYS AS NEAR MINT

You will not find a better sounding copy of this RARE record.

Produced by Michael Bremner and engineered by Roy Wallace this was recorded
between 3-5 May 1962 at The Victoria Hall, Geneva with Ernest Ansermet
conducting L'Orchestre de la Suisse Romande.
SAINT-SAËNS Symphony No.3 in C minor. “Organ” Op.78 with Pierre Segon.

This was released in January 1963.

First press matrix numbers ZAL-5597-2E and ZAL-5598-1E

Mother/Stampers :-

side one. "1" at nine o'clock and "U" at three o'clock
side two. "1" at nine o'clock and "U" at three o'clock

Decca operated a system based on B*U*C*K*I*N*G*H*A*M where
B comes off the original master U off the second and so on.
The "1" speaks for itself.

Each stamper was used to make approximately five hundred pressings
so this is indeed a very, very early pressing.

This is a first pressing on the Decca ED1, WBg label with"ORIGINAL RECORDING" text
NOT a later re-issue or copy.

Original blue FFSS inner sleeve.

The record plays without any jumps or repeats. Beautiful clarity of sound
especially for a 60 year old record.

The sleeve is as per photos.
