This expanded 180-gram 2LP vinyl gatefold package features the new stereo album mix on the first LP and adds a second LP with previously unreleased alternate takes for each of the album's 13 songs, newly mixed in stereo and sequenced in the same order as the album

Named the Greatest Album of All Time by Rolling Stone Magazine, Sgt Pepper celebrates its 50th Anniversary this year with a new 2017 stereo mix. To create Sgt. Pepper’s new stereo mix, producer Giles Martin oversaw an expert team at Abbey Road Studios in London, sourced directly from the four-track masters produced by his father, George Martin. Upon its release in 1967, the album held the number one spot for 15 weeks and won a Grammy Award for Album of The Year.

The expanded 2CD package adds a second disc of 18 tracks, of unreleased alternate takes, newly mixed in stereo and an unreleased instrumental take of "Penny Lane" and two unreleased alternate takes of "Strawberry Fields Forever."
