Live Tracks Recorded in Amsterdam 6/2/1988
Track A1 not mentioned on sleeve, only on the label.
This was a limited edition that was available to early buyers of the Vinyl version of "Playing With Fire"
by sending off a voucher. This was in part to make up for the CD of "Playing With Fire" having considerably more tracks than the vinyl version.
Limited edition of 2,000, with number stamped on rear.
This is No 1516
Classic 1989 12" original Fire records thin glossy sleeve mail order only record (This was a limited edition that was available to early buyers of the vinyl version of "Playing With Fire" by sending off a voucher. I've personally never seen one til the cd reissue, & I was collecting this bands vinyl in the usa since 1987!) this is individually numbered #216 on the back (FIRE RECORDS THREEBIE 3). Live Tracks all recorded at Melkweg, Amsterdam 06/02/1988 & Live Intro Theme recorded at VHF Soundcentre, Rugby, Spring 1998. Definitely one of their hardest to find records.
This disc was only available to buyers of Spacemen 3 "Playing With Fire" which had a red insert using which you could send off for this record.
I am also selling my copy of "Playing With Fire"
THE RECORD PLAYS AS NEAR MINT
The audio on S1 is Near Mint
The audio on S2 is Near Mint
The labels are Near Mint
Visual grading
The vinyl is in beautiful condition and have an immaculate jet-black glossy sheen with no marks or scratches.
At first glance you would think they were brand new such is the stunning visual quality.
The run out grooves are unmarked and the labels are also super clean with no marking and no spindle wear.
Play grading
The first track "Starship" is not mentioned on the sleeve only on the label. Fantastic clarity of sound. Silent run ins and runouts.
The intro on "Revolution (Live)" plays with incredible clarity, there is no static, and plays 'as new'.
There is not even a single dust tick let alone anything worse! This is audio of the highest calibre and Near Mint is easily deserved.
"Suicide(Live)" is 'as new' with no interference. The clarity, depth and warmth of the audio could not be improved upon and is near mint.
Side two starts with "Repeater (Live)"The is faultless and the same applies to the rest of the track. It just plays beautifully from start to finish with no intrusion.
And so ends side 1 in complete silence
The long quiet 'intro' on "Live Intro Theme (Live)" is perhaps the most impressive section on this side as the clarity is exceptional!
This side ends with the music repeating itself against the label. Strange.
As always I have played every track in full. I cannot emphasise enough just how strong and clear the audio is, the playback is stunning.
The previous owner really knew how to look after his LPs.
